Easter Vigil at St. David’s, Castlegar – Saturday April 4

Join us at St. David’s on Holy Saturday at 6:00 pm for the Easter Vigil, the first celebration of Easter and one of the most beautiful liturgies of the Christian year. Beginning in darkness and moving into light, this sacred service traces the great story of God’s saving love through scripture, prayer, and song, before leading us to the joyful proclamation of Christ’s resurrection.

We will gather around the new fire, hear the ancient readings that tell the story of salvation, celebrate adult and infant baptisms, renew our own baptismal faith, and share in the Holy Eucharist as we rejoice in the risen Lord. If you have never attended the Vigil before, this is a wonderful year to come. It is a service of depth, beauty, and hope, and a powerful way to enter into Easter more fully.
