At key moments in life—times of joy, grief, gratitude, or transition—it can be a comfort to mark what matters with prayer, presence, and blessing. The Churches of the Transfiguration are honoured to walk alongside individuals and families as they celebrate love, welcome new life, commend the dead to God, or seek God’s grace in times of change.
You do not need to be a regular attendee of our churches to reach out. Many people who contact us are exploring faith, returning after time away, or simply looking for a thoughtful and compassionate way to mark an important moment.
If you are wondering whether a service might be possible, or if you’re unsure what questions to ask, we invite you to be in touch. We are always glad to listen, to explain what is offered, and to explore together what might best serve you and those you love.
Weddings

Marriage is a joyful and sacred commitment, rooted in love, faithfulness, and mutual care. We are glad to walk with couples who wish to be married in the Church and to help shape a service that is reverent, personal and meaningful.
Our clergy will meet with you to listen, to guide you through preparation, and to help you plan a wedding that reflects both your relationship and God’s blessing on your life together.
Baptism

Baptism is the sacrament by which a person is welcomed into the life of the Church and into the family of faith. Baptisms are offered for infants, children, youth, and adults. If you are exploring baptism for yourself or for your child, you are warmly invited into conversation. Questions, uncertainty, and curiosity are welcome. There is no expectation that you already have everything figured out.
Confirmation

Confirmation is an opportunity to affirm one’s faith, to deepen one’s relationship with God, and to take greater responsibility within the life of the Church.
Confirmation is offered to youth and adults, including those who were baptized earlier in life and those coming to faith later on. Preparation is offered, and no prior theological background is required.
Funerals & Memorial Services

In times of loss and grief, the Church offers prayer, hope, and compassionate presence. Funerals and memorial services provide space to give thanks for a life, to commend the departed to God’s care, and to surround those who mourn with love and prayer.
Our clergy will meet with you to listen to your story and help plan a service that is both honest about grief and grounded in Christian hope.
Services of Blessing

At times of transition—a new home, a new beginning, or a particular moment of prayer—the Church can offer services of blessing and thanksgiving.
If you are wondering whether a blessing might be appropriate for your situation, please feel free to ask.
Pastoral Care

The clergy of the Churches of the Transfiguration are available for prayer and pastoral conversation during times of illness, uncertainty, transition, or need.
You do not need to be a regular attendee to reach out.
